Mothers Of Minority Siblings (MOMS) Connected are adoptive Mothers Of Minority Siblings. We are of different races and backgrounds, but share the common bond of motherhood and the dream of sharing the joys of adoption, using our diverse experiences to help other families that have grown through adoption and making a positive impact on the adoption world.
The mission of MOMS Connected is to provide tools to parents of African American or bi-racial children whether biological parents, foster parents or adoptive parents that will help them care for their children and raise them to be confident about their place in the world.
As adoptive families, we have found that there aren’t many resources out there specifically geared to Caucasian parents of African American children. We know that many families don’t live in cities where they can readily find the products and information they need to best care for their kids. We hope, through this site to offer support and education to foster and adoptive families, and encouragement to those just beginning the journey of adding children to their family.
